Looks Like a Milka Bar

So just got back from the good old neighbors... Switzerland. Yep, and that means I added another country to my list. Now I"ll let you know the reason I went in a second, first I am going to explain Switzerland: Mountains that are amazing/beautiful/breathtaking/gnarley/a piece of heaven/perfect/stupendous/radiant/tight/sick/any other adjective that explains coolness, and cows. Yep, looks like I got everything in.
So back to why I was there. Ever wonder how European mormons get married? I always thought it was a myth... impossible, I don't even know how regular Europeans get married... there's no such thing as dating here. Well I guess since there's no such thing as dating here they just put on EFY for people over 18 years old, force them into situations where they have to mingle with the opposite sex, and WHALAH! They find their true love without ever having to date... especially since they always end up living a thousand kilometers away soooo there's not even an option of dating. Even though the week would fall into the category of "meat market" it was still awesome, and I'm so glad I went. It was a  party that I needed and thoroughly enjoyed. Except for the poor weather conditions and a bit of unorganization, I'd say it was a success.

Oh and to my surprise I hardly took any photos... sometimes bad weather does that to me, I'm to use to shooting in perfect LA weather...

Just a Precursor to the Cow Theme...

A bunch of Sexy Ladies ready to tear up the dance floor...

German-Asian WIN!

The next large amount of photos show case hiking in the ALPS...

They give me a sheep... when all they really have are cows...

She's single and European!

So short story: while your hiking you expect peace and quite... but you hear all of this clanging and dinging, what is that sound?! Well it's all of the cows all over the mountains running around with bells on their necks... tradition I guess.

Puppy.

Myself, a lake, and nature...

More cows...

Temple trip... Bern, Switzerland

It took us a while to get the next two shots...

Harry Birthday!

A very happy birthday to a very happy wizard.

Bavarian Fever

So Bavaria is basically the Texas of Germany, you wear a lot of traditional clothes, you talk weird, your flag is on every corner, and you have a lot of pride of where you're from. Well, I can honestly say that I have Bavarian Fever... I absolutely love this place! Nothing better than a Bavarian Brezel next to the Isar River while sipping my Apfel Schorle just after a long bike ride through the forest. I'm livin' the life. Anyway I'm not just rambling and wasting your time, but I am going to share with you a few photos of my day at a festival (forgot the name).

Antique German Old Man

Hector and Books

Gnome for Jennifer

Some German Warriors who were looking for someone to tie up and throw in the river... or something like that, I couldn't quite understand.

Male Model Hair.

In Honor of Fritz Reiter

Some antique spoils... obviously stolen from those who have passed on...

Viele Leute. Viel Spass.

Corn. Something only a pregnant lady could get so excited about.

Hector's new Bavarian Kitchen Decor. Nothin' like a boar above your head and a piece of bacon on the stove.

Steinin' it up.

Now that's a Jukebox Hero.

A sweet old Tram still in use we happened to grab up on our way home.

So I have never gotten off at the Karlzplatz Bahnhof... it use to be all ghetto when they were redoing it, but now its all swank and I spent about 5 minutes staring at the ceiling.

When Life is Ruled by FIFA

As most of you should know 20 minutes ago Spain took the World Cup for the first time in history... but as most of you should know... I live in Germany (so I don't really give a crap about Spain winning... ). 4 years ago Germany played Italy in the semi-finals (who ended up taking the whole she-bang) to only lose and take third place. That was a sad sad sad day. Four years later Germany played Spain in the semi-finals (who ended up taking the whole she-bang) to only lose and take third place. Dejavu much? Anyway, lets just say that there are two world events that rule my life every four years: the Olympics and of course the World Cup.

2010 South Africa FIFA World Cup Favorite Moment: Slamming Argentina 4-0 when most thought we couldn't even beat them (quarter-finals)

2010 South Africa FIFA World Cup Least Favorite Moment: Losing to Spain 0-1 when that stupid Octopus predicted it (semi-finals)

So the kids start out the FIFA season a couple months before with a Sticker book with spaces for every player of every team... naturally I had to get one, but its a pretty expensive investment... several hundred stickers that have to be bought...

Lennart before we left for preschool expressing his love for German football.

Lennart and I ready for England vs. Germany (won it! 4-1)

Represent!

The OLYMPIA STADIUM... where we all gathered to watch Argentina vs. Germany, it was an awesome game, and we sang and drank beer (well the Germans did at least) and celebrated.

Lederhosen MAN!

Hector looks like he's with a bunch of crazies...

Represent: Lederhosen and Deutschland Jersey

Just a bunch of Germans...
